Form 1098T Information
The 2009 1098T forms that were mailed on January 27th have a minor error. As a safety measure while preparing the 1098T we intended to mask the social security number except for the last four digits. However, instead of the last four digits appearing at the end of your masked social security number, the first four digits appear.
For example, if your social security number was 123-45-6789 it would show up on the 1098T form as XXX-XX-1234 instead of XXX-XX-6789.
This error has NO implication when you file your taxes. The IRS will be receiving the information with your full social security number.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you would like to have a copy of the form you may stop by either the Fiscal Office or Cashier.
