General Purpose
Serves as a part time custodian to assist with maintenance and custodial duties, with room set up and logistics at the College Campus.

Education and Experience

 

  • Requires a high school diploma
  • One year custodial experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Knowledge of basic custodial service techniques and procedures
  • Working knowledge of chemical hazards related to harsh cleaning agents
  • Working knowledge of custodial equipment operation and maintenance
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and other duties requiring moderate physical strength
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Must be prompt, dependable and show integrity in all aspects of the job
  • Valid driver’s license required

Job Focus

 

  1. Performs various logistical and maintenance duties, including but not exclusively; sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash, vacuuming and restroom maintenance
  2. Sets up for special events, moves tables, chairs, and equipment
  3. Occasionally performs emergency maintenance duties as needed
  4. Performs other related duties as required

College Campus staff, students College Campus visitors

Supervision Exercised:
None

Reports to:
Custodial Specialist

Process

The College reports all positions to the Department of Work Force Services, posts all positions on the website: http://www.datc.edu/hr, and posts hardcopies of all announcements in the Fiscal Service area. You can request a copy in room 1079. Verification of a typing score (within last six months) if required, is accepted from the Campus Testing Center. The Davis Applied Technology College complies with all aspects of the ADA and section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
