General Purpose
Assists the program instructor in maintaining a quality training program. Assists students in attaining the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the area of training. Provides short-term assistance for students when enrollment is 6 students or fewer per period beyond program maximum. Provides independent coverage up to 3 days during the absence of program instructor.

Education and Experience

 

  • Requires experience with the College's instructional model and/or occupational experience or educational training in the program area for which they have been recommended.

  • Assists students in the use, care and safety of program equipment
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly training area

  • Assists in maintaining equipment
  • Works cooperatively within the College community
  • Assists in completing clerical tasks
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Students, in the absence of the instructor

Instructor and Director of Programs

Process

It is necessary for candidates to apply for specific openings by mail or in person to the Human Resource Department. The College reports all positions to the Department of Work Force Services, posts all positions on the website: http://www.datc.edu/hr, and posts hardcopies of all announcements in the Fiscal Service area. You can request a copy at the Cashiers window. Verification of a typing score (within last six months) if required, is accepted from the Campus Testing Center.
