General Purpose
Assists the program instructor in classroom management and the delivery of related training curriculum. Assists students in attaining the knowledge and skills needed to complete the training program and succeed in the career for which they are training. Assists instructor and/or program when enrollment is 10 students or fewer per period beyond maximum, as needed, up to 30 hours per week. Provides independent coverage up to 10 days during the absence of the instructor.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience directly related to the area of training
- A combination of work experience and education may be used to fill requirement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- May be required to show competence in the technical skills related to program training
Job Focus
Assists with instruction of students.
- May provide classroom coverage independently for limited periods of time, up to 10 days.
- Models and teaches good work habits.
- Assists in teaching use, care and safety of program equipment.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly training area.
- Assists in monitoring the use of supplies and equipment.
- Assists in setting up and maintaining program equipment.
- Works cooperatively within the College community.
- Implements curriculum as directed by the program instructor.
- Under the direction of the program instructor, may verify certain student competency completions.
- Assists in upholding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the College.
- Participates in the evaluation process with the assigned administrator.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
