CNA Testing Information

Before you can take your CNA Certification test, you will need to have your voucher from the Utah Nurse Aide Registry. You can find more information about that at http://www.utahcna.com

 The test consists of two parts; a written test and a skills test.

 CNA Written Test

 You can take the written test at the DATC on a walk-in basis during our normal testing hours which are: 

  • Monday 7:40 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday 7:40 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday 7:40 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 

When you come to take the test, please bring your voucher and a picture ID. (Please note: Driver's privilege cards cannot be accepted as picture ID.)

CNA Skills Test

 The CNA Skills Test is given by appointment only. You can schedule an appointment using the on-line appointment scheduling system at the bottom of the page. 

When you come to take the written test, you must: 

  • Wear scrubs
  • Bring a watch with a second hand
  • Bring your voucher
  • Bring picture ID
    (Please note: Driver's privilege cards cannot be accepted as picture ID.)
  • Arrive at room #2025 ten (10) minutes before your appointment

Note: If you are late or do not show for your appointment you will be charged a $15.00 rescheduling fee.  You will be required to give this reciept to the skills examiner before you are permitted to take the test at your next appointment.
