KAYSVILLE, UT –Enrollment is now available for Davis Applied Technology College’s Summer Youth Experience, Aerospace Science Experience, and Summer Semester programs. These tuition-free courses are for students ages 14-18 and teach real world job skills. Each course is hands-on and self-paced.

Summer Youth Experience

Students have their choice of several courses, including:

Dentistry
Dates: June 21st- June 24 (Mon -Thur)
Time: 11:30 am to 2:30pm
Cost: FREE

Culinary Arts
Dates: July 13 – 15
Time: 9:00 am – 12:30pm
Cost: FREE

Robotics and Mechatronics
Dates: June 15 – July 23 (several sessions available)                                                                                            Time: 7:30 am to 10:30 am & 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
Cost: FREE
 
Photoshop or Dreamweaver
Dates: July 12 – August 5 (several sessions available)
Time: 7:30 am – 10:30 am & 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
Cost: FREE

 

Aerospace Science Experience

Session 1: July 12 - 15, Mon - Thur, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Session 2: TBD
Cost: FREE

This is a fun, hands-on course that allows students to explore the aerospace industry. Students will build composite boomerangs, explore advanced composite materials manufacturing, tour Hill Air Force Base composites area, and compete with science projects. Space is limited to 25 students, lunch provided. Contact Amber Ballinger at (801) 593-2494.

Summer Semester

Courses may count as high school credit.

Dates Available: June 9 - August 20
Cost: $35-$76
