Phlebotomy M/W
The Phlebotomy Program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skill to enter a career as a phlebotomist. Students will receive a solid foundation of learning on body systems, lab tests involved, and specimen collection skills. Practical application is reinforced as students perform venipunctures each week. Upon successful completion of the course and externship, students will receive a Davis Applied Technology College Certificate of Proficiency.

Requirements:
- All applicants must pass the required admissions testing to be accepted into the Phlebotomy Course. Students should study the sample tests available and prepare appropriately.
- Students must be 18 years or older.
- Background checks, Hepatitis B immunization, and proof of TB test required by time of externship.
- After completing 60 hours of classroom training, students are required to complete a 40 hour externship at a local healthcare facility. Externship assignments are made through the instructor.
- Students participate and practice venipunctures each class period.
- All fees must be paid at time of registration.
To enroll for this Course:

2. Make make note of your Admission ID number.
3. Pay the $40 registration fee* to the cashier.
4. Take ID number to Student Services for registration and course availability.
