Medical Billing and Coding
This program will prepare students to take the National Certified Professional Coding Exam through the American Academy of Professional Coders. The goal of the Medical Billing and Coding program is to help students develop basic skills for entry-level positions that will allow them growth and movement into higher level job opportunities in hospitals, nursing facilities, and clinics. Medical billing and coding specialists must be self-motivated and flexible in order to meet the complex demands in the day-to-day preparation of health insurance claims, examination of coverage issues, billing/collection efforts and mandated documentation.
