Pharmacy Technician
The Pharmacy Technician program is designed to prepare individuals to support pharmacists in a pharmacy setting. This includes performing a wide range of practice-related duties for retail, hospital, home care, mail-order and other pharmacies. After completion of the required classroom hours, students will participate in a 180-hour externship. This training opportunity will be coordinated through the instructor. Special emphasis is placed on preparing the student to take the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Examination and the State of Utah Law Examination.
