Phlebotomist

This class provides students with the knowledge and skills to become competent phlebotomists. Students receive a better understanding of body systems, conducting lab tests, collecting specimens, and performing venipunctures. At the conclusion of class, students will participate in a 40-hour externship. Phlebotomists typically work at hospitals, clinics, physician's offices, surgical centers, veterinary clinics, and plasma centers.
