Our goal in the Testing Center is to assist individuals in succeeding in their choice of academic studies. We also provide a variety of testing services to students as well as the surrounding communities.

Requirements

  • Picture ID is required on ALL TESTS
  • No children allowed in Assessment Area or left unattended at the DATC
  • No cell phones, or electronic devices allowed in Testing Rooms

Testing days and times are subject to change without advance notice due to unforeseen circumstances.

Admissions Requirements and Placement Testing 

To be enrolled at the DATC, you must demonstrate one of the following:
 

  • Passing scores on the DATC placement tests.*
  • SAT of 340 English and 400 Math or better (within the past three years)
  • ACT of 17 English and 18 Mathematics or better (within the past three years)
  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited college
  • College transcript showing Math 1010 or higher with a B and English 1010 or higher with a B (equivalent courses will be accepted) within the past three years.

 

* The student's scores will help us start them at the appropriate point in their training. In most cases, students who need assistance with these skills can be enrolled in Skill Development classes either before the student starts their training program (or concurrently with their training program).  Students who are admitted based on ACT scores, SAT scores, transcripts or degrees will not need to take Skill Development Classes.

Some individual programs require additional testing to determine candidate qualifications.  Please contact the Assessment Center at 593-2336 for additional information.

Rocky Mountain Gas Association (RMGA)

RMGA Certification Testing: is a three hour, open book test.
Bring your own books and calculator.
You must have picture I.D.

Cost is $90.00
2 CHECKS: $75.00 goes to RMGA & $15.00 to DATC for Proctoring or cash. 

The testing is given during the following times:

**The Last RMGA tester will be admitted 3 ½ hours before closing times.**

If you do not pass the test on the first try, RMGA will send you a summary of the questions that you missed and a onetime free retest letter, you will only need to pay the $15.00 proctoring fee to DATC.

Written & Skills Test: You must have your voucher and Picture I.D. to test.
No exceptions.
Driving Privilege Card cannot be used as I.D.

Skills Test: You must make an appointment to take the skills test. Appointment will not be made if you do not have your voucher. Scrubs are to be worn during skills assessment, and a watch with a second hand.

If you make an appointment and do not show up or if you are late, you will be charged a $15.00 Rescheduling fee, which will need to be paid prior to testing.
