Doug Dimond
I'm an Account Manager at Hexcel.
Doug Dimond always dreamed of working in business, so he pursued a degree in marketing from the University of Utah. While attending college, Doug worked for a hydro-tube company building waterslides. During this time, he discovered a passion for working with composite materials, but still wanted a career in business. Upon completion of his marketing degree, Doug was offered a position as a department manager in a retail business. He enjoyed this work, but discovered he wanted to do something different.
After taking a tour of the DATC campus, Doug's wife encouraged him to investigate the composites program. With his combined expertise in marketing, retail, and composites, Doug was offered a position after just 5 months of training at DATC as an account manager for Hexcel, a leading global supplier of advanced ocmposite materials. Doug attributes his success to his DATC composites instructor, Kent Crookston.
